Sometimes, as individuals we forget to allow life to follow its own pace. Caught up in our daily routine, we believe in micro-managing every situation and having the outcome as per our needs. In doing so, we give up on the surprises that life has to offer.
From an early age, a habit has been inculcated within us to follow the set path and not steer of it. One forgets that it is necessary to be “DIFFERENT“, to have one’s own “IDENTITY” and steer away from the dreary path that everyone takes.
We forget to take time out and explore ourselves. One may never know, what they might come across in this phase. New avenues may open up which are worth giving a try.
We are always asked to get inspired from successful people but we overlook an important quality while observing these successful personalities like Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Barack Obama, Mary Kom, Vishwanathan Anand, etc. They have been successful in breaking stereotypes and opened up in a new direction. They paid little heed to the society norms and focused on their different plans for life.
Exploring oneself can include anything. It can be learning a new skill to solo tripping across the world. This helps in identifying one’s strengths and weaknesses and actions to overcome them.
