Magic Carpet

Surrounded by all materialistic possessions,

With assistants at her constant beck and call,

She was bothered by only one question,

Was it worth it all?

She slept on a silken mattress,

Troubled by these thoughts,

Filled with unknowing sadness,

With her stomach in knots.

Looking out of the window,

She longed for a stroll in the garden.

To feel free and disburdened,

From all her worries and cares.

But, at last she broke from the binding,

Walking out of the door,

To her favourite backyard,

Feeling her heart soar.

A mix of sun and shade,

Lying on those autumn leaves,

She slept so peacefully,

An inspired carpet giving her relief.
